A bag containing hundreds of driver’s licenses, credit cards, social security cards and passports was found in a Brandon motel room earlier this week, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports. Deputies responded to Brandon Motor Lodge, 906 Brandon Blvd. E., around 11:14 p.m. Tuesday night after an employee there found the plastic bag. It contained several drivers’ licenses that had been reported stolen, investigators said, and some of the credit cards had been used in fraudulent transactions. The cards and passports were in the names of about 38 different people. Gefery Pierre, 30, of North Miami, who had been renting the room, was also found to be traveling in a vehicle reported stolen from a rental car company at Tampa International Airport, according to investigators. According to the Bureau of Motor vehicles 21,168 Hoosiers have valid school bus licenses. You have to be 21 to obtain a license. Records show the oldest person with a valid school bus license is 88 while the median age of licensed drivers 54. The numbers come from the Department of Motor Vehicles. While they provide an insight into the age of Hoosiers with valid school bus licenses, the numbers do not show whether the individuals are active drivers. The data shows 28 percent, or more than 1 in 4, licensed school bus drivers are over the age of 60. 7% are 70 or older.
