The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) has assumed the responsibilities of the Federal Highway Administration, in accordance with Section 6004(a) of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act (SAFETEA-LU), and is proposing to construct a pavement rehabilitation project in Gustavus, Alaska. Construction is proposed to begin in summer. The project consists of a pavement overlay to existing pavement. Road signs would be replaced as needed. Guardrails would be adjusted or replaced as needed. No drainage or culvert work is planned. There would be no ground disturbing activities associated with the project.
