M-104 will be reconstructed and widened from west of 124th Avenue east to I-96 in Crockery Township, Ottawa County. See attached brochure. M-104 traffic will be maintained using traffic shifts and lane closures. The westbound I-96 ramp to M-104 will be closed for short durations throughout the project. The Department of Natural Resources announced today that work that would have closed a portion of the Pere Marquette State Rail-Trail from July 23 until Sept. 1 has been delayed. Work on the affected 1-mile portion of the Pere Marquette State Rail-Trail (located one mile east of Reed City between 200th Avenue and 190th Avenue in Osceola County) has been rescheduled to begin approximately Oct. 1 and is expected to conclude around Nov. 17. The temporary closure is due to bridge construction upgrades, which include replacing worn-out decking, improving the existing railing system and widening the travel surface of the bridge. Seventeen public transit systems from around the state competed in the 37th Annual Michigan Small Bus Roadeo in Mt. Pleasant on July 20, with competitions held for individuals and teams. Drivers competed in Roadeo events designed to test the skills and knowledge of Michigan public transit bus drivers.
