Driver With Warrants, Bad License Gave Fake ID



A township woman tried to hide her identity due to a suspended driver’s license after being pulled over on the Fourth of July, Hillsborough Police said. Candida R. Leonard, 33, was charged with obstructing justice for providing a false name to conceal having a suspended driver’s license, police said. Leonard also had pending warrants out of Hillsborough, Ewing, Princeton, Trenton and Woodbridge to talling $3,650, police said. She was lodged in the Somerset County Jail in forfeit of bail continue

Team owner Roger Penske said A.J. Allmendinger “absolutely” will return to the No. 22 Dodge immediately if the Sprint Cup driver’s second drug test returns negative. But in the case of another positive test and an indefinite suspension by NASCAR for Allmendinger, Penske didn’t rule out Allmendinger staying with the team. It’s likely Penske Racing would evaluate other potential drivers in addition to Sam Hornish Jr., who is substituting for Allmendinger this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Penske said primary sponsor Shell was “very supportive” of Hornish.
