Dover- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) will be holding an informational meeting to provide an update for the SR 1/I-95 Interchange Project. July 10, 4:00-7:00 p.m. Delaware Technical Community College, Conference Rooms A112 & A114, 400 Stanton-Christiana Road, Newark, Delaware. The meeting will provide information on the Route 1/I-95 Interchange Project Closure of Exit 4B on I-95 Northbound to Route 7 Northbound. Included within this informational meeting will be specifics. Use Exit 3B which is Route 273 westbound to Route 4 eastbound and return to Route 7 northbound. Detour signage will be posted for motorists. The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) welcomes fans to the Firefly Music Festival, produced by Red Frog Events at Dover International Speedway in Dover. Three days of music will commence on Friday, July 20 through Sunday, July 22.
DelDOT’s Transportation Management Center (TMC) staff in coordination with the City of Dover Police and Delaware State Police will monitor traffic in and around the Dover vicinity to ensure safe travel for motorists. Due to the number of patrons attending the festival, Leipsic Road and Persimmon Tree Road in the vicinity of Dover Downs International Speedway will be closed to thru traffic each day of the festival – detours will be posted. The closure times are: Friday July 20 at 1PM, Saturday July 21 at 10 AM and Sunday July 22 at 10 AM. All roads will be reopened to traffic at the conclusion of the day’s events; these times will vary due to the nature of the event. Once the roads have been reopened, motorists should use caution while crossing the bridge over Route 1 as a temporary traffic control plan will be in place throughout the weekend continue

The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that effective July 17, the exit ramp south of the Christiana Mall onto Route 1 northbound and I-95 northbound will be closed. The closures are necessary due to the construction of the overfly ramps from I-95 southbound onto Route 1 southbound. The closure will remain in effect until late fall of this year. To Southbound I-95 Turn right onto the Mall Ring Road and follow around until you pass Target. At the next exit, turn left toward Michaels/Pier 1. At next intersection turn right. At the traffic signal, go straight and then bear right onto the ramp for Route 1/Route 7 North. Follow Route 1/7 through I-95 underpass. Take next right onto ramp to I-95 South. To Northbound Route 7 Turn right onto the Mall Ring Road and follow around until you pass Target. At the next exit, turn left toward Michaels/Pier 1. At next intersection turn right. At the traffic signal, go straight and then bear right onto the ramp for Route 1/ Route 7 North continue
