Bangor woman accused of driving without a license


Two people were arrested over the weekend on preliminary charges of driving while their driver’s licenses were either suspended or revoked. Jeffery D. Heil, 54, rural Carmi, was arrested by a White County sheriff’s deputy around 10:10 a.m. Friday following a traffic stop near County Road 1000 East and 1600 North. A sheriff’s office incident report said Deputy Randy Graves was on patrol and observed Heil operating an all-terrain vehicle on the roadway and knew Heil’s license was revoked. Heil was taken to the City-County Jail in Carmi where he posted $150 cash bail. Crystal G. Brockett, 37, Carmi, was arrested by a Carmi police officer around 5:46 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop near Main and Fifth streets in Carmi. A city police officer arrested a local woman Saturday after he pulled her over because the minivan she was driving lacked an inspection sticker. Alicia Beck, 27, was charged with having false license plates on her vehicle and operating after suspension or revocation of her driver’s license, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Monday, citing an arrest report. She also was the subject of a warrant, Edwards said. According to the police report, Beck was arrested shortly after she was pulled over on Howard Street by Officer Brian Smith. Police towed a truck after the driver did not have a driver’s license, although she claimed the truck was part of a car dealership she owned. A Conway officer spotted a maroon Dodge Durango driving east on Robins Street heading to Harkrider. The truck had flashing blue lights attached to the wheels, which could be seen from the side and the rear. The officer performed a traffic stop at the Satterfield gas station. The driver told the officer the truck belonged to the car dealership she owned. She also told the officer she would take the lights off. When the officer asked for her license, she was unable to produce any identification. She gave her name and date of birth. The dispatch told the officer that she only had an ID continue
