3 Accused Of Driving With Suspended Licenses



A Harrison officer stopped a driver July 24 who did not yield while traveling westbound on Halstead Avenue, police said. The officer found that the man’s driver’s license had been suspended. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, and the car was impounded. The man also had a warrant for an unpaid a parking ticket in the Bronx, police said. He was released and is due Aug. 8 in Harrison Town Court. A Peekskill woman was pulled over July 24 for speeding westbound on Park Lane in the area of Burns Road, police said. Her license had been suspended since April 15 for failing to answer a summons in Yorktown. The woman was issued a summons and was taken home by the Harrison police officer. Her car was impounded. A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a man on alcohol and no driver’s license charges July 12 in Alva. According to documents on file, Woods County Deputy Sheriff Adam Honeyman had pulled up to a stop sign at Oklahoma Boulevard and Third about 11:40 p.m. when he saw a vehicle with a defective right headlamp. He activated his lights and conducted a traffic stop. Michael Ray Mendez, 39, presented a Texas driver’s identification card but said he did not have a license because it was suspended. Honeyman detected a strong odor commonly associated with an alcoholic beverage coming from Mendez’s breath and person. Former UH quarterback Colt Brennan could lose his license for a year, following his arrest on drunk driving charges. A police report reveals his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
