Four people were arrested Friday night at driver’s license and sobriety checkpoints in Temecula and Murrieta, police said Saturday.
The checkpoint near the intersection of Winchester and Nicolas roads in Temecula began at 9 p.m. Friday and lasted until 3 a.m. Saturday, police said. One person was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Police cited four unlicensed drivers and towed 10 vehicles.

Police screened drivers until 3 a.m. Sunday at the checkpoint near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Lakeside High Way, according to police.
Four drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said.
The drivers were identified as Lake Elsinore residents Patricia Esquival, 31; Nicholas Mavre, 26; Jeremiah Steimle, 41; and Julius Cheek, 33, of Wildomar, police said

Five drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol during a checkpoint deputies operated from 7:30 p.m. Friday to 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of South Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas, authorities said.
Deputies issued 19 citations and towed 10 vehicles during the checkpoint, sheriff’s officials said.
